Fiji Day Sydney Festival is a celebration of Fiji and Pacific culture. It’s a major annual event for the Fijian and Pacifica community in Australia and abroad. It is a day where diaspora commune to share cultural moments with family and friends.
A day where reunions happen and connections are made. Over the years the Fiji Day Sydney Festival has developed different areas of interest within the festival including the Business expo, Arts & Craft area, Fashion show, Community and Government services corner. Cultural and contemporary performances are a highlight of the day, showcasing a diversity of dance, music and expression, attracting a cross section of mainstream audiences, generations and diversity of cultures.
Fiji Day Sydney boasts an attendance of over 25,000 per year for 2012-2015 and is bigger than the Auburn Councils’ Festival, the area where Fiji Day Sydney has been housed for last 3 years.
In 2017 we will broaden business opportunities and engage wider cross-sections of the Greater Western Sydney artistic communities. We will also continue to provide opportunities arise businesses who seek to market to the Fiji/Pacific market both here in Australia and Fiji. A large segment of our audiences are young people, working adults and families. This provides new opportunities for products and services, that are not specifically Pacifica orientated but looking at promoting to other age brackets and market segments.
This provides the Fiji Day Sydney Festival fresh opportunities to increase audience engagement, provide opportunities for related local business and international Fiji based business.
Fiji Day Sydney is a vibrant day of celebration and memorable moments of diverse cultural exchange. It is a space where Fijian and Pacific culture is expressed and experienced.
